Jayed Bin Amjad is a associate of Law Lab. He completed his LL.B. (Hons.) and LL.M. Degrees from the University of Dhaka. Previously he passed secondary and higher secondary from Narsingdi. His working career started in 2017 as a junior intern under the supervision of Mr. Mohammad Shishir Manir at Law Counsel. He joined Law Lab as an intern in November 2019.

He was involved with the research in several cases. Some notable works are- Fine shall not be excessive, Withdrawal of claims by the prosecutor, Election disputes in Bangladesh, Value of post mortem report (medical evidence vs. ocular evidence), Sedition, Criminal conspiracy, Inter caste marriage, Independent Police Complaint Investigation Commission, Substance and purity Test of Narcotic Drugs, etc.

He was associated with the research and drafting in many cases. I.e. probation application (Moti Matbor vs. State, 73 DLR 89), Md. Asad Uddin and others, Writ Petition No. 1585 of 2020 (More than 100 lawyers of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh filed this writ petition seeking direction for establishing Independent Police Complaint Investigation Commission); Writ petition against Bar Council, Intervener application in a medical negligence case, etc.

He compiled all judgments where Khandkar Mahbub Hossain appeared as a counsel from various law reports of Bangladesh. After taking interviews of the concerned authorities and extensive research, he prepared a document titled ‘Healthcare System and Medical Negligence. He was co-author of some articles published in the national dailies. These are; the Legality of extra-judicial killing; China-India conflict in South Asia; Racism; Failure of Bangladesh Bar Council; Independence of Judiciary; etc. He contributed to writing content in the book titled ‘100 Sensational Murder cases of Bangladesh’.
