LL.B. (Hons) Student at University of Dhaka
Mr. Sakhawat Jakaria is an aspiring law student at the University of Dhaka, currently pursuing his LL.M at the same institution. He has demonstrated exceptional legal acumen and advocacy skills, particularly in moot court competitions. Along with his teammates, Mr. Jakaria represented Bangladesh in the 32nd Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Court Competition (2025) held in Vienna, Austria.
His areas of interest include Civil, Commercial, and Constitutional Law, and he has consistently maintained an excellent academic record. Since joining Law Lab on November 2, 2022, Mr. Jakaria has worked as Research Associate under Mohammad Shishir Manir, a distinguished advocate of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh. In this capacity, he has contributed to legal research in various cases, participated in publishing Saltamami, and engaged in legal discourse, including writings on the newly drafted Cyber Security Act, 2023.
Currently, Mr. Jakaria is assisting his senior in the hearing of a review petition challenging the cancellation of the 13th amendment to the Constitution of Bangladesh, which introduced the caretaker government system.
