Quashment

An accused may come before the High Court Division under section 561A of the CrPC for quashing the proceedings of the criminal case.

  1. Babul Hawlader  versus State, Criminal Miscellaneous Case No. 53239 of 2018

  3. Md. Yunus Munchi verus State and others, Criminal Miscellaneous Case. 16779 of 202

    (An apprentice Advocate of Barisal Bar Association was allegedly beaten to death in police custody. Father of the victim Yunus Munchi filed a criminal against some police officers under Prevention of Torture and Custodial Death (Prevention) Act, 2013 read with sections 302/34 of the Penal Code, 1860.   4. Lipon Patwary versus State, Criminal Miscellaneous Case No. 12198 of 2021

    (The accused-petitioner was denied bail by the Sessions Court considering the confessional statement during investigation stage. He applied for the certified copy of the confessional statement but the same was denied by the concerned Court.
